“Had a lovely week at Koru Cottage. The cottage was clean and well furnished. We especially enjoyed the woodburner on those chilly evening!. The location is almost perfect - a 5 minute walk to Blackpool beach and a 10-15 minute walk to Oneroa. Would love to return.”
Review by Leanne (Stayed in October)
“It was clean and tidy. It was close to the water and to the cafes and restaurants. It was lovely and peaceful. Great to have a chrome cast supplied. You need to bring everything including salt and pepper, cooking oil etc as nothing extra supplied. The portacot was in good condition. Lovely log burner however having a crawling toddler, we were unable to use it as there was no fire guard.”
Owner/Manager responds:
“Thanks so much for your feedback Leanne, we‘re so pleased you enjoyed your stay. Holiday homes are self catering and we do advise in the information supplied to bring along everything you may think you will need for your stay. The fire is an enclosed woodburner and no, the owner does not supply, nor do we advertise a fire guard. There is sufficient electrical heating supplied as an alternative to keep you warm! ^^SLC”

“We really liked staying here. Well positioned for us - we didn’t need a car. Comfortable and had everything we needed. Pleased to have good sitting areas at front and back. Little Oneroa Beach our favourite to walk to. We did a lovely island walk from the house. ”

“Great house in a great location, easy walk to town and Cable Bay vineyard. Not a great swim beach but perfect for kids to splash and play in.”
Review by Marlene (Stayed in October)
“The house was absolutely brilliant. Was everything you advertised. Table outside was set up with 3 chairs.. Absolutely spotlessly clean. We will recommend and have already your service. From the start to the finish of us booking our accommodation we had no hiccups what so ever. We would like to thank you for a amazing time at Waiheke Island. The Ferry both ways were awesome too.”
Review by Andrea (Stayed in September)
“Really appreciated your communication and the later checkout due to weather. A Great place, clean and cosy over a miserable wet weekend. We would definitely recommend and use again if we returned to Waiheke!”
Review by Renei (Stayed in August)
“We had a very enjoyable long weekend on Waiheke and have recommended it to all of our friends and family. during the winter months is more affordable and less crowded and having a fire in the cottage was pure luxury as well as being able to do a load of washing and dryer. Two of my colleagues at work are already looking at a long weekend away with partner and or family, thank you from Renei”

“Yes we had a lovely time thank you. The house was lovely, it was clean, comfortable and in a great location for us, with friends staying nearby. I felt the information on website is pretty reliable for getting a feel for what the accommodation is going to be like. We were also very impressed with the way the cancellation of the initial house we booked was handled complete with an upgrade to a better property at no effort or expense to ourselves well done!!”

“We had a truly wonderful stay on Waiheke thank you. The cottage was perfect for us as our extended family had #48 Tahatai Rd so was in walking distance for all our gatherings etc. The cottage was clean, well equipped and set out. The mosquito plug in repellents in the bedrooms were well needed this weekend. It would be a lovely little place to bunk down for a winters escape!”

“We had a great stay on Waiheke, and Koru Cottage was great. We would happily stay then again (and plan too next time we come up). It was a great little retreat and was very handy to everything we needed. We were there visiting family and this was a great base for our family xmas holiday. The house was better than expected and very well priced - the website and booking system were very easy.”
