Overview
This Waiheke Island traditional Kiwi Cottage is in a fabulous location. Just a short 4 minute walk will bring you to gorgeous Little Oneroa Beach where you can enjoy a delicious swim at all tides or build a sandcastle in the lovely white sand. The children's playground is a popular spot for the under (or over) 10's. Oneroa Village with it's abundance of cafes, shops and restaurants is also a pleasant 12 - 15 minute walk away making this a really fabulous central location from which to enjoy your Waiheke visit.
The cottage has a large living and dining room which has doors and french doors opening to decks on 2 sides and plenty of room to relax and enjoy your Waiheke holiday. The 2 bedrooms lead off the living room and each bedroom has lovely french doors to open to the rear deck overlooking mature trees and bush. Reviews from Past Guests
Review by Kerryn (Stayed in April)
“We had a lovely 4 x days in Waiheke, myself, Marilyn, and Scobbie the small dog…… we managed to get to 6 beaches and spent a lot of tome with them, also drove around the island as Marilyn had not seen Waiheke…… I have been over a lot a few years back as I am a professional Entertainer ( singer ) here NZ, AUST, USA, HAWAII….
We loved the cottage, as quiet, cosy, lovely bush etc…… we loved the takeaways down the road !! I had a 4 day feed of oysters, scallops, fresh fish with lovely wine at the cottage….
We would like to come back sometime and bring some friends back…. I am doing a few cruise Ships, and back to Memphis this year as I do ELVIS and a few other artists….
Just to let you know, we were pleased that we had a car park as that road is deadly !! also there is a high part of road by the driveway which is a lip hole which needs fixing, otherwise a nice lovely cottage etc”
Review by Jackie (Stayed in April)
“We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and everything was so accessible by foot. I loved it because it was a quirky, good ol kiwi bach that I remember from my childhood which made it all the more special. Thank you for opening up your home for people to enjoy. Easy to deal with and kept up communication until we got there. I will be recommending it to other people when I get back to Oz.”
Review by Margot (Stayed in March)
“Very clean and tidy bach. Easy walk to Little Oneroa.
Maintenance required to water pump and bathroom and lounge window frames.”
Owner/Manager responds:
“Thanks for your feedback Margot! We were not aware of the window issues though are pleased to confirm that this has now ben fixed - thank you for letting us know & we’re so sorry the inconvenience.
I will leave a note to let guests know they can turn off the water pump at night if it disturbs them. We have recently had the water pump replaced because of this issue so I'm not sure why it was going off every 45 minutes, probably a small leak.
We’re so glad you enjoyed the bach overall and managed to enjoy Little Oneroa Beach! :)”
