Indoors you will find a spacious open plan accommodation, dining and kitchen with 2 sets of glass sliding doors opening the apartment to the outdoors and the beach. Along the hallway are the 2 bedrooms plus the brand new bathroom with separate toilet. Head up the steps behind the apartment and you'll find 2 glorious outdoor sitting areas both boasting wonderful views of the beach and beyond to the Hauraki Gulf. The more distant vistas are as beautiful to watch as the close up beach views right in front of you.
When it's time to move further afield and enjoy the pleasures of Waiheke, the bus is just around the corner and close by you will find cafes, general store and liquor shop. “We enjoyed a wonderful 6 night stay at Blue Horizon. Location was perfect with a few steps to the beach, handy for our morning walk before grabbing a coffee (Allpress!...my personal fave!) at the beach cafe and heading back to the apartment to enjoy our al fresco breakfast with stunning views. We had a vehicle to travel around the Island but the bus service, a mere 50m from the property, is also an excellent way to get around and we used this on a few occasions. The apartment had everything we needed and was extremely comfortable. We have no criticism of our stay it was a wonderfully relaxing time. My thoughts for enhancement is that the property would benefit from an awning to provide better shade. The umbrella is not sufficient. A couple of extra serving bowls/platters in the kitchen would have been great. Highly recommend Blue Horizon as a fantastic base for a wonderful Waiheke experience.”
