Review by Alexandra (Stayed in March)

This was an excellent place to stay for our group of 4 adults and 4 kids under 5. There were lots of places for the kids to explore and luckily they were all old enough to manage all the stairs. We loved being able to walk so easily to the beach and really enjoyed all being able to sit around the outside table for meals and the outside fire in the evenings. The kids also loved having their shower outside every day!

Review by Adele (Stayed in January)

Second stay at Barefoot for us and it won't be the last. The location is a perfect 2 minute walk to Palm Beach and the bus stop if you don't want to drive. The house is private and secluded despite being on the street front. There are lots of lovely outdoor spaces to eat/sit and the most wonderful outdoor (hot) shower. It's easy to find spaces to have quiet moments and a welcome new addition is Netflix and TVNZ on demand. Its a modern and comfortable home and even though there's only one bathroom there's a cute upstairs sort of outdoor loo and that divine shower. it would be great to have a Nespresso machine (we brought our own) but that's a wish list and not strictly an essential. And as always the service from the WHH team is fabulous- we've been booking holiday homes on Waiheke for many years now and never use anyone else. The café at the end of the road, Arcadia has had many incarnations over the years but is busy and popular and really lovely for brunch, lunch, drinks and dinner. And an easy walk home provided you bring your torch at night!

Review by Jennifer (Stayed in December)

We very much enjoyed our time at Barefoot by the beach. An easy walk even with little feet. We had two families staying and it was no problem. Palm beach is a great place for little ones we had five children ranging in age from nearly two years up to 6 year old.
The indoor outdoor flow is not great and due to wind we did not use the outdoor area much. We were fortunate to have sunshine every day so spent our time at the beach but a rainy day would have been difficult at this house with so many people.
Overall a great location and would stay there again. Thank you
