Only about 15 – 20 mins pleasant drive on tar sealed road through beautiful farmland and featuring glorious views all the way. Orapiu has a public wharf (very popular for fishermen) and a small beach which has nice swimming at most tides except low. Otakawhe Bay is just a couple of minutes drive from Orapiu wharf.
